Who is Rabbi David Mark?
David Mark or “Reb Dovid” as many call him is the founder of Israel Rising. He is a prolific writer and informal educator, focusing on the merger of Chassidic thought and the Land of Israel. He is known as a subject matter specialist on Israel, the broader Middle East as well as the growing proto-Jewish communities in sub-Saharan Africa. He has developed a strong network in Israel that includes government representatives, local activists, and indigenous rights leaders in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. He is a trained rabbi, with a focus on mystical Jewish thought and how it is connected to both personal and national redemption. He teaches multiple classes in wider Jerusalem area.
