Arab rioters throw stones and hurl burning tires last night as Jews make their monthly pilgrimage to Joseph’s tomb in the city of Shechem. Soldiers of the Nahal Brigade, who escorted the 24 buses to the tomb, tried their best to restore calm. Thankfully, no one was injured.
Palestinian Arabs have a long history of violence and desecration at this holy site. There were numerous attempts in the past to scorch the tomb, which has been renovated time and time again. In 2011, Palestinian Authority policemen fired at a group of Jews praying at the tomb, killing Ben Yoseph Livnat.
