Last Remaining Neighborhood in Muslim Quarter No Longer Off-Limits to Jews

It may not seem large, but the small Jewish property recently renovated is the first such reacquisition in this part of the Muslim quarter since Arab rioters forced Jews out in the 1920’s.  With its low ceilings and shared coutyard with the neighboring Arab family, the new/old property already hosts yeshiva boys.  Unlike other reacquired properties, the newest one is considered a direct security risk for those who have dared to move in.

That has not deterred Jerusalem’s modern day pioneers from pushing forward and filling of the property with the new move culminating in a prayer session within the ancient ceilings.

First Mincha minyan in the most recently-reclaimed Jewish-owned house in the Old City of Jerusalem!

In recent months those who ventured to check on the property met with violence from locakl Arabs as gangs of Arab youth often times threw rocks, even injuring one young Jewish student.  Other times they threatened to kill and maim those who dared to walk down their streets.  The neighborhood is known as such a violent area that even Israeli border police don’t venture there.  After today that all changed.  With new Jewish residents, Israeli security forces are obligated to protect the residents ensuring their safety.

“It was the last remaining area of the Old City that was off-limits to Jews – no longer. Now Jews can walk proudly through every alley!” states Rabbi Ben Packer of the Heritage House.

Will Trump and Putin Allow Israel to Lead in the Middle East?

With Donald Trump’s win beginning to sink in across the international community, one thing is becoming clear,  the Donald will ultimately seek a positive working relationship Russia’s Putin.  Of course, the failing EU doesn’t like this and nor does the antiquated NATO, but Donald Trump and many others rightly believe that Russia can be a tremendous ally in stabilizing the world and fighting radical Islam.

Look for an agreement or understanding with Russia soon after Donald Trump is sworn in on demarcating unofficial spheres of influence for the two superpowers. As always, Russia views its former satellites under the Soviet Union as part of its great sphere of influence.  The Donald will not argue. The complicated part of this will be the Middle East, which to put it bluntly is pretty much becoming a massive version of Mogadishu circa 1993.

Most likely they will form a joint task force to manage Iraq, while handing over Syria to Russia. The dispute will be on Iran, which Putin has masterfully backed as a pawn against American adventurism. Putin being the consummate chess player may find it advantageous to eventually jettison the Ayatollahs. However this won’t happen right away.

Will Israel be Recognized as the Regional Leader it Already Is?

One country that both Putin and Trump see as the great stabilizer in the region is Israel.  Putin has already pushed back on Hezbollah and Iran using Syria to attack Israel’s North and under Trump the USA is finally set to move its embassy to Jerusalem.  Both Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin have little patience for primitive Arab squabbles as the region burns and have increasingly learned to rely on Israel’s technology and advanced intelligence gathering systems.

Does this mean that the days of gloom and doom when it comes to Israel are over?  Not at all, but what it does mean is the New New World Order being crafted between the USA, Russia, and China will more than likely rely heavily on Israel’s know-how, resilience, and stability in an increasingly chaotic environment.

Obama’s Fall Took Globalism With It

As Daniel Greenfield so eloquently stated: This wasn’t an election. It was a revolution. But what kind of revolution was it?  The Trump revolt like Brexit as well as Bibi’s reelection in 2015 were uprisings focused on tearing down the post Cold War system that has become known as globalism.

Like most leftists, Obama’s policies focused on creating a utopian reality without laying out any exact path to get there.  The Obama approach of demeaning national identity, sovereignty, and authority while boosting up elements associated with bad actors is an approach that strives to create as its end result a citizen of the world.

Here in Israel, Jewish pioneers have been berated by the international media, EU  bureaucrats, and most importantly Obama himself.  For the leftist academics and policy experts, Jewish pioneers are seen as an impediment to “a much needed Palestinian State.”  The globalists view the pioneers of Judea and Samaria much the same way they view blue-collar workers in the flyover country in America or those factory workers in Britain: stubborn racist simpletons willing to hold back progress for some archaic principles.

But this is not the case.  Globalists view the world as one giant utilitarian experiment where the ends justify the means.  Yet, despite their drive for control and manipulation, yesterday their dreams crashed and burned on the altar of reality.

Real America are those places that nurture the belief that America like Israel needs to stand for something far more essential than Hollywood, .Coms, or Jay Z.  America’s exceptionalism is due to the fact that it draws from the strength of Israel’s eternal covenant.  The more it seeks to uphold the divine moral code given to us from the Creator, the more it will flourish.  The Americans who won the election rejected the globalist vision that all countries are equal.  They rejected the idea that the Arab in Saudi Arabia and the Christian or Jew in America have the same worldview despite the fact that we are all children of the Creator. For a person who comes to America must decide to adopt biblical worldview which places the Almighty front and center one’s life decisions.

israels-heartland

When we take away a nation’s specialness we render its citizens powerless. That was Obama’s mission from the beginning.  Obama almost succeeded until a reality TV star and real estate tycoon became the most unlikely leader of a revolt whose message, “This Land is Our Land!”

In many ways the current wave anti-globalism can be said to start not with Brexit, but with the Israeli elections that saw an unlikely leader in Bibi Netanyahu get reelected against all odds.  In fact, it was Obama and the international community that worked in overdrive to unseat him.  It was the Israeli leftist media who picked sides and tried to break the hope of the common man, but just like on Nov. 8th, the Israelis said no.  They said no to globalism and they demanded their country back.

The lessons from Bibi Netanyahu’s and Donald Trump’s victories is never to underestimate a person or nation’s desire to be true to itself and to chart its own course.  Man’s soul desires the freedom to choose, to learn, and to develop.  Government interference and antithetical to the process of Creation.  Without globalism, true freedom based on national sovereignty and individual rights has a chance to guide the world.

Bibi Netanyahu: Our Relationship with the USA Will Further Strengthen

Below are Bibi’s remarks at the beginning of the weekly cabinet meeting.  The Prime Minister clearly states he views the relationship with the USA as special and expects it to strengthen no matter who wins the White House. He also believes and hopes that America will continue to insist that any solution to the Israel-Palestinian dispute will be dealt with in direct negotiations with no pre-conditions rather than international forums.

Bibi then listed three countries that Israel has growing bi-lateral relations with:

  • China
  • Russia
  • India

Two of these three are in a current trajectory to be in direct conflict with the United States, especially if Hillary Clinton wins. In a growing multi-polar world that is shredding up the globalist dream of a new world order, Israel may cherish its special relationship to the United States, but is ensuring that it is on good footing with three of the rising powers to its North and East.

J Street Attacks Trump for Being…Pro-Israel

We have reached a point in the US Presidential elections where absurd is the norm.  In an attempt to sway Jewish voters from leaving Hillary and moving to Trump, J Street, that nefarious anti-Israel organization that pretends to eb pro-Israel attacks Trump for being pro-Settlement which they claim is actually anti-Israel.  Yes, their absurdity knows no bounds.
