Ehud Barak Attacks Bibi Again

Former Prime Minister Ehud Barak: Netanyahu’s diplomatic tactics are caused because of the vagaries at night between him, Sarah and Yair.

Ehud Baraktweeted the following, in response to the diplomatic moves carried out by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after resolution 2334 against illegal settlements passed in the United Nations Security Council late last week.

“Nightly whims night between Bibi, Sara, and Yair, wake up in the morning and are transformed into as diplomatic tactics and policies put forth by the Prime Minister”.

“Israel is fast becoming an international joke,” Barak warned.

This is not the first time, Ehud Barak has taken swipes at Bibi Netanyahu.  Despite Barak’s backing at globalist institutions, he remains one of the most unpopular Prime Minister’s of all time and is considered a political failure.

UN RESOLUTION FALLOUT: PM Netanyahu Cancels Ukrainian PM’s Visit, Ukraine Responds

PM Netanyahu cancels the visit of the Ukrainian Prime Minister to Israel.  Kiev’s response; “The crisis in the Middle East is the deepest it has been throughout its history.”

Following the cancellation of the visit of Ukrainian Prime Minister, Volodymyr Groysman, to Israel, the Ukrainian delegation to the United Nations responded to their support of the United Nations resolution against settlements in the Security Council.

“Unprecedented settlement activities by Israel in the palestinian territories does not help to deal with violence.”

After Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu canceled on Saturday the visit of his Ukrainian counterpart following the state support for the UN resolution against settlements, a delegation of Ukraine to the United Nations issued a message explaining Kiev’s support for the resolution. “The search for a solution is now in the deepest crisis in history,” the statement read. “The lack of prospects for reviving the peace process between Israel and the palestinians has led to an escalation of the security situation in Israel and the West Bank on a daily basis. As a result, the unprecedented settlement activities of Israel in the palestinian territories does not help deal with the violence”, said the diplomats.

In their statement, the delegation noted that the decision that was finally approved was more lenient with Israel than the original resolution and included references to palestinian terror.

“The call to Israel to stop settlement activity as a prerequisite for resolving the conflict as part of a two-state solution is not new,” the statement said. “All parties call out for efforts to achieve peace and security in the Middle East.”

The delegation made a connection between the Russian occupation of Crimea and the Israeli occupation. For Ukraine, abstention or objection to the resolution calling for a cease of illegal actions in the territories that under international law are considered occupied territory, would be contrary to the struggle on the diplomatic front against the occupation of the Crimea and the Donetsk and Luhansk regions by Russia.

“These are political issues, about which positions cannot vary according to the political situation. There are national interests that do not often match the interests of our partners, especially Israel. Because of these interests, we cannot abstain or object,” it said.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Netanyahu issued a statement cancelling the visit of Prime Minister of Ukraine, Volodymyr Groysman to Israel, in protest against his country’s support for the draft resolution against settlements received on Friday by the UN Security Council. Groysman, who is the first Jewish Prime Minister of Ukraine elected last April, was to arrive in Israel on Wednesday.

Cancellation of the visit was one of a series of steps taken by the government following the adoption of resolution 2334 on Friday by the UN Security Council, with the support of all Council members. The United States abstained in the vote instead of vetoing the resolution.  The abstention by the Obama administration has set off a furor of reactions by Israel against all those who voted in favor of the resolution and the US.

Israel Has “Ironclad Information” Obama Was Directly Involved With Resolution 2334

David Keyes, spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, said quite clearly on Fox News’ “America’s News HQ” program that Israel has “ironclad information,” claiming that Israel had “ironclad information” that the Obama Administration took part in crafting the resolution and pushed for its passage.

“We have rather ironclad information from sources in both the Arab world and internationally that this was a deliberate push by the United States and in fact they helped create the resolution in the first place.” Keyes said.

Yesterday, Philip Klein from the Washington Examiner discussed Resolution 2334 on Fox News:

[watch] Bibi Netanyahu: “Obama administration committed a shameful and underhanded maneuver”

Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu commented on the passage of UN Resolution 2334, which declares all building in “East” Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria to be illegal in international law and must be haulted.

“Citizens of Israel,” Netanyahu said, “I want to calm you down. The decision reached yesterday in the UN is distorted and shameful, but we shall overcome it. The decision makes the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City ‘occupied’ territory – that’s delusional. It says that the Western Wall, the Kotel, is ‘occupied’ territory – that’s just as delusional. There is nothing more absurd than calling the Western Wall and Jewish Quarter occupied territory.”

“This is a failed attempt to force the conditions of a final agreement on Israel. Their last attempt to accomplish this was led by President Carter, who was totally hostile to Israel and just recently said that Hamas is not a terror group,” Netanyahu continued. “Carter passed anti-Israel resolutions in the UN, similar to these resolutions, but he did not succeed. We opposed his resolutions and nothing happened.”

“All the American presidents after Carter have stood by the US promise not to allow the UN to force Israel to do anything. Yesterday, US President Barack Obama violated this promise – as well as his own promise from 2011- when he did not use his veto power to veto this anti-Israel resolution in the UN.”

“Not only does this decision not bring peace closer, it in fact pushes peace farther away. It is an affront to justice, to truth. Think about how absurd it is. Half a million people slaughtered in Syria, tens of thousands in Sudan, the entire Middle East is in flames and Obama’s government and the Security Council decide to attack the only democracy in the Middle Est – Israel. How shameful!”

“My friends, on this first night of Hanukkah, I want to tell you that it will do them no good. We will completely oppose this resolution, as we did when the UN decided that ‘Zionism is Racism.’ That decision was revoked and so will this one be. It just takes time. And it won’t be revoked by our giving in, but by our standing strong with our allies at our side. I remind you that we left Gaza, destroyed communities, removed people from their graves. Did that help us at the UN in any way? Did it improve the UN’s attitude to us? We got thousand of rockets on our heads from Gaza and the Goldstone Report from the UN. Friday’s decision is a call to arms for all of Israel’s friends in the US, and all those who are sick of the anti-Israel bias in the UN. Those who come to curse us, will end up blessing us instead.”

Senegal, New Zealand, Malaysia, and Venesuala submitted UNSC Resolution 2334 for a vote Friday when Egypt refused to bring it.  The four countries seemed influenced by the Obama adminstration’s indications that they would not use its veto to block it.  On Friday Obama became the first US President since Jimmy Carter to abstain from a UNSC vote against Israel.
