UN & Canada Sympathize With Palestinian Terror

On January 24, 2016, Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Stéphane Dion, called for restraint in Israel and the West Bank by stating the following:

“Canada is concerned by the continued violence in Israel and the West Bank. ‎The violence has persisted for over 100 days. Canada believes strongly in a two-state solution and that negotiations provide the only viable path to peace. As a steadfast ally and friend to Israel, Canada calls for all efforts to be made to reduce violence and incitement and to help build the conditions for a return to the negotiating table. Unilateral actions, such as Palestinian initiatives toward statehood in international forums and continued Israeli settlements, are unhelpful and constitute serious obstacles to achieving a comprehensive, just and lasting peace.”

This statement shows the stance of Canada’s new liberal government and clearly shows they lack an understanding of the reality on the grounds in Israel. The claim that Israeli settlements are an obstacle to peace is absurd. Israel pulling out of Gaza proved the exact opposite. It only achieved more rockets flying into Israel.

The only good in Minister Dion’s statement is that he did not go as far as Ban Ki-Moon who expressed sympathy for Palestinian terrorism during a UN Security Council session. Though the UN Secretary General condemned Palestinian terror attacks, he nevertheless stated the following:

“Security measures alone will not stop the violence. They cannot address the profound sense of alienation and despair driving some Palestinians – especially young people. Progress towards peace requires a freeze of Israel’s settlement enterprise. Continued settlement activities are an affront to the Palestinian people and to the international community. They rightly raise fundamental questions about Israel’s commitment to a two-state solution. As oppressed peoples have demonstrated throughout the ages, it is human nature to react to occupation, which often serves as a potent incubator of hate and extremism.”

So Moon is condemning, yet justifying, the terror attacks on Jews. One can only wonder how Moon would explain the reasoning behind the terror attacks in Paris and California. Were the terrorists there also an oppressed people?

The Palestinian violence is not about settlements or land

The violence on the Arab side is the result of incitement against Jews in general. The incitement is found on PA television and the Hamas charter, as well as influence from Islamic extremist groups such as ISIS. The violence has nothing to do with land in Israel. It has everything to do with Jihad and the thirst for Jewish blood. Most of the recent knife and shooting attacks at Jews were the result of young Arabs being exposed to PA incitement to kill Jews. Israel is trying to expose the Arab incitement to the world, but it seems the new Canada government prefers to blame Israeli settlements on inciting violence. Are we to assume the recent terrorist attacks in Paris and California were also about land? Of course not. It all stems from the same Muslim extremism ideology and Jihad. The Palestinian Authority just uses the “settlement” and “land” card so it can continue receiving international funds and aid while not being labeled a terrorist organization like Hamas.

On the other hand, the IDF, security personnel and civilians that injure or kill an attacking terrorist are doing so out of self defense; not out of hatred or incitement to murder innocent civilians. Even the Israeli military’s name is all about defense: Israeli Defense Forces.

Palestinians are oppressed and under occupation; But not by Israel

If Ban Ki-Moon wants to discuss the occupation that Palestinians are suffering from, then he should point fingers at their leadership, not at Israel. Hamas in Gaza and the PLO in the West Bank, are responsible for the suffering of their people. Simply put, they could stop inciting violence against Israel, make peace and enjoy from the fruits of prosperity that Israel has to offer. But instead, Hamas erects training camps brainwashing children to become martyrs in the name of Jihad, uses international aid and equipment to build terror tunnels into Israel instead of buildings for civilians and both Hamas and the PLO preach the annihilation of the Jewish people. However, even Hamas officials admit that Gaza is not occupied by Israel ever since Israel pulled out of Gaza in 2005.

There is a clear double standard when it comes to the international community blaming Israel for the troubles in the Middle East. Anyone with some common sense can pinpoint the root cause of the Middle East crisis in general and the Palestinian hostilities in particular.

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu condemned Ban Ki-Moon’s remarks today:

“The UN Secretary-General’s words give encouragement to terror. There is no justification for terror. The Palestinian murderers don’t want to build a state – they want to destroy a state (Israel), and they say it out loud. They want to murder Jews wherever they are, and they say it out loud. They don’t murder for the sake of peace and they don’t murder for the sake of human rights. The UN long ago lost its neutrality and its moral authority, and these words of the Secretary General don’t make the situation any better.”

IDF to Hamas: Please Stop Hating Us

The war of words continues today between Hamas and Israel.  Of course it should be assumed that Hamas who has never heeded any warning from the IDF will keep their tradition of running straight into a wall. In the tradition of the IDF’s war of stern warnings Major General Yoav Mordechai Poli threatened Hamas saying that unless they cease coercion and incitement of those who cross over into Israel, Israel will have no choice but to close the crossings.

Gaza Strip – Crossings
This is analogous to Jews pleading with Hitler to stop murdering us. Hamas doesn’t care about land crossings or the residents of the strip. Any closure will feed into their propaganda.  That being said, if we don’t want violent enemies entering Israel then don’t let them in, but don’t pretend to use it as a weapon against an enemy force steeped in the ideology of global Jihad.

Preparing for War Means Be Prepared

If Hamas is truly preparing for another round of fighting then the IDF needs to be prepared as well.  No slogan or warnings will do. Making sure the enemy is severely destroyed is the only real solution to the conflict.  This requires killing Hamas leaders and the eventual reconquering of the strip in order to finally flush out the Jihadist vipers that are busy readying themselves for Israel’s destruction.

Shlomit Kreigman: Another Day, Another Jew Murdered

On January 25, 2016, two terrorists went on a stabbing spree in Beit Horon, fatally stabbing Shlomit Kreigman, age 24, and seriously wounding another 58-year-old woman. The two terrorists were later shot and killed by a citizen and security guard. During the stabbing spree, the terrorists tried entering a grocery store but were stopped by the owner and a shopping cart.

After the two terrorists were neutralized, 3 pipe bombs they planted were found in the vicinity. This is just another example of why Israel cannot make peace with a people that are being taught by Palestinian Authority incitement and media to hate, terrorize and murder Jews. The Arab violence and terror wave that Jews are facing in Israel on a daily basis is akin to the epidemic of Islamic extremism that is growing worldwide. The incitement is the same, the hatred is the same and the outcome is the same.

When will the Israeli leaders wake up and really start curbing this violence? How many people have to die, heaven forbid, for the Israeli government to start taking care of its citizens? The truth is, we should not rely on any government or person to help us. As King David exclaimed so pointedly: “Do not trust in princes, In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation…… Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God” – Psalms 146.

Gaza, Maybe the Best Solution to Israel’s Prison Shortage

Ofra Klinger, head of Israel’s prison services has stated that they have no new room for security prisoners.  This is do to the fact that despite the increased violence from the Arab sector in the Land of Israel, the IPS is hampered by Israeli law which prohibits the use of soldiers in prisons without the express approval of the cabinet.

The IDF spokeswoman issued the following statement: “According to a standing order issued on December 31st, 2015, it is prohibited to send soldiers to work in prisons or as part of the Israeli police. During the cabinet meeting which was held on December 28th, the Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu directed that the Department of National Security set up a task force to determine how many soldiers will serve in the internal security organizations, such as the IPS and the police, according to the current needs and the renewal of the interim directive. According to the information that we have, these instructions will be issued in the coming days.”

Gaza as the Real Solution

Given the fact that there seems to be no end in site to the current Arab uprising, the Israeli government would do well to use Gaza as a potential destination for all security related prisoners. After all, they themselves would be lavished in praise and well taken care of in the Hamas run territory.

Although if they are card carrying Fatah members, Hamas may be inclined to institute their own form of capital punishment. Either way it would be a huge space saver for Israel, the IDF, and the IPS.

Jerusalem: The United Capital of Palestine

Sometimes your enemies can teach you something.  In fact, many times they can teach you something.  Mahmoud Abbas (aka Abu Mazen) has now stood up as the ultimate Palestinian patriot.  It’s true, he has aspired to that before, but has always fallen short. Incitement on PA TV just doesn’t cut it when compared to Hamas.  Renaming signs after terrorists cannot compare to actually planning and executing the attacks like Hamas and ISIS does.  So what’s left for Abbas?

Abbas has never retreated from bombastic verbiage.  His latest, is that Jerusalem belongs to “Palestine.”  Now that is not surprise. This time Abbas drew a red line for his own people.

“Anyone who accepts a Palestinian state without Jerusalem as its capital is a traitor,” Abbas said.

How refreshing. I have to say, at least Abbas can be admired for standing up and showing us what it means to be a patriot.  It’s true, our own leaders have said Jerusalem is the united capital of Israel, but we have never heard Bibi Netanyahu call Isaac Herzog a traitor for advocating the division of Jerusalem.

Ideology means something or at least it should.  The problem with our leaders is that the words leaving their mouths seem to be nothing more than noise.  We have to be willing to be as fervent with our belief sets as our enemies or we won’t succeed in preserving our inheritance. This is not to say we should knock the other side out using violence. Our enemies can raise that flag, but we have to believe strong enough in our convictions that we call out our internal opposition for what they are, traitors.

In no way am I referring to positions concerning, health care, infrastructure, taxes, or the economy.  These are agnostic policy choices that should be made based on professionalism.  I am referring to Israel’s future and its connection to its past.  When a politician is determined to trade away our national heritage as if it is a mere policy decision, yes that person is a traitor.  When he or she supports foreign influence that has caused the death and security deterioration of the nation, yes that person is a traitor.

“He that struggles with us strengthens our nerves, and sharpens our skill. Our antagonist is our helper.” – Edmund Burke

Since the beginning of the Zionist Revolution and the Jewish people’s nascent liberation the political class has been afflicted by a ghetto philosophy, this dhimmitude wrought upon the Jewish nation after years in exile has yet to be shed.  Advancement within the nation has occurred because the Arab population within and without the Land of Israel has forced the political class’s hands.  We see this in 1948, 1967, and beyond. Despite Israel’s overwhelming strength, the government has never forced true sovereignty throughout Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria. The Arab leadership are here in many ways in order to refine us and make us reach to the next level.  If not the ghetto we have created would be far too comfortable to crack the complacency of ideological hollowness

Mahmoud Abbas may be a murderer, Holocaust denier, and thief, but he understands the need of the Arab street to cling to its absolutism, because for them there are things far more important than simply peace.
