Escape from Libya

Just under one month ago James (his name has been changed to protect him and his family) began a Facebook friendship with me.  After a week of chatting about Nigeria, Israel, and Judaism, he opened up about his real identity and his location.  James told me that he is really in Libya, with his wife and newborn son. I was shocked and at first the Israel Rising team, including myself assumed it was some sort of scam for money.  We researched it and came to a conclusion after James sent us photo of his wife and himself in a safe house dressed in Islamic attire that this was no scam.. James also gave us a Libyan phone number to call.

A few days ago as their situation has gotten unbearable, James agreed to do a podcast with me.  The problem was, the network in his safe house was very bad. After a few tries we decided to resort to good old fashioned texting.

James and his family need around $3,000 to make the long trek south through the desert and back to NIgeria in Biafraland.  Those of you who can afford to give, may donate here.

Please share this interview with as many people as possible.

David: Hi James

I know your internet connection is very bad so I want to thank you for spending this time with us

You are in Tripoli, Libya…right?

James: Yes thank you for reaching me, yes I am in Tripoli Libya.

David: Can you tell us a bit about why you went there?

James: I came to Libya to teach English.

David: Why Libya of all places?

James: Well I thought I could help them learn the English language and to appreciate democracy

David: Was this an official program?

James: Not at all. I came of my own volition, But I came in contact with radicalized muslims

David: Wow. You and your wife?

James: Yes me and my wife.

David: And now a son, right?

James: Yes

David: What is like in Tripoli right now?

James: Tripoli is on verge of war.militants everywhere.

David: How are you staying safe?

James: I am in hiding with my family. I’ve been having some anonymous calls that I have refused to pick up. I even don’t add friends on Facebook anymore. An Imam was shot recently because he criticized their attitude towards Christians.

David: So they don’t know you are a Christian.

James: They know I am a Christian because I’ve been a bit outspoken against them so I’ve become an endangered species.

David: How will you get out?

James: The airspace is under lock for now and my only option is through the desert.

David: And you are ready to leave now?

James: Yes I am very ready now because I am afraid.

David: What is the hardest thing about coping in Tripoli?

James: It’s the kidnappings and killings by daesh.  My friend Felix was kidnapped and we have not heard from him again.

David: I am sorry to hear that. Can you describe some of the run ins you’ve personally had with ISIS?

James: I’ve had two encounters with them.and it wasn’t a pleasant issue at all.

David: What happened?

James: I was going to teach one day and they stopped our taxi and asked many questions about me and when they saw that I am a Christian I was kidnapped and I was taken to the desert. I was told I was going to be shot, but as I prayed they tied me up and left me. One hour later they came and started demanding, money and I told them that I am only a teacher, but they wouldn’t listen to me. In the end I was taken to somewhere far where I was tortured and nearly died.

All thanks to God I came out alive.

David: I am speechless.

James: The second one was when they came to our house and burglarized our apartment. They came pretending to be police, but at the end they were daesh and they kept me and my pregnant wife in a prison cell. It was awful, but God’s intervention brought us out. Afterwards my wife gave birth to a baby boy. Since then I’ve been living in hiding with my family.

David:  It is a miracle you guys are still alive.  You need to get out. James, is there any message you would like to tell people?
James: Yes my message is that people should be careful of mixing up with these arabs. They are so radicalized now. Killing has always been part of them and now more so. I need kind hearted people to assist me and my family to leave Libya. It is an SOS.

David:  You and your family should be blessed to escape from Libya and live in a free and sane society. Thank you for your time, brother.

Please donate to help fund James’ flight to safety.

Is Nigeria the Only Country Where Idiots Rule?

For over four decades now, another  Nigeria-Biafra war has been looming.  These two entities, forced together by the British in 1914 have increasingly moved towards direct confrontation for the first time since 1970.

Over time the Nigerian government has become comprised of mainly Muslim participants from the North whose occupations are mainly cattle herders with little or no education.  These Muslims served in the Nigerian military, which adds to their inability to govern correctly and institute sound economic policies.  The world has begun to label Nigeria “the only country where idiots rule.”

The Oxford English Dictionary defines genocide as “the deliberate and systematic extermination of an ethnic or national group …” The UN general assembly also defined it in 1946 as “… a denial of the right of existence of entire human groups”.  Biafrans have consistently charged that the Nigerian government has in fact always had a design to exterminate the Igbos of Biafra.

In recent times their sole aim has been focused on exterminating Biafrans, made up of mostly Christians with Hebraic roots and those who have rejoined the Jewish Nation  Biafrans control some of the most fertile grazing lands and oil reserves in Nigeria.

The current attacks on Biafra have been traced to the government supported Hausa/Fulani herdsmen  who are actually full members of the Islamist Boko Haram.  According to Article 2 of the 1948 UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide-to which the US and all current members of the UN Security Council are party to, genocide encompasses not only the deliberate killing of members of a “national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such,” but also “deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part.” Both clauses are occurring in Biafra region in Nigeria right now.

This situation was premeditated by mainly Islamic extremists within the Nigerian army.  These elements have been looking to the turn the heat up. Since protests broke out we have seen the systematic killing of innocent and unarmed civilians by the Nigerian military.  Despite the fact  that the army chief has admitted that his men indeed killed Biafrans indiscriminately as we have witnessed in Aguta, Aba, Enugu, Igweocha, little or nothing has been done by the  Buhari government to bring the attackers to justice.

Biafrans are still waiting for world leaders and lovers of democracy and freedom to step in and protect civilians who have suffered loss of life, confiscations and destruction of properties.  The agenda is clear.  The Arab and Islamic world is pushing for Nigeria to become a full member of the Islamic world.

Evidence of another genocide

Biafra has now become the headquarters of a military battalion set up in order to kill innocent young men and women and even children who seek self-governance.   These people strive for better lives due to decades of marginalization from previous and current governments. This has been reported by numerous human rights groups like HURIWA which have made it clear that the Buhari regime’s genocidal intent is beyond the pale of acceptable civilized behavior.

The international community must act and act swiftly to avert another civil war.  This time, an explosive war pitting the Judeo-Christian Biafra against the Radical Islamic movement that has overtaken Nigeria has the potential to become a wider regional war than the previous conflict which occurred over 45 years ago.

Time is of the essence.

[Podcast] Biafra Message to Israel: “Help us! Buhari is a Murderer!”

Shortly before I joined a live Radio Biafra broadcast, I had the opportunity to interview Dr. Clifford Iroanya the Coordinator of the Coordinators for the Indigenous People of Biafra.  We touched on a variety of subjects, including the evil of the Buhari regime and what Biafra wants.

Included in the podcast:

  • What is IPOB?
  • History of Conflict
  • Who is Buhari?
  • Is Nigeria Muslim?
  • Biafrans consider themselves Israelites
  • Why Israel needs to help Biafra

Listen below to a clip of yesterday’s Radio Biafra interview.

Nigeria is a Sinking Ship

From East to West, North to South the Biafran conflict is heating up globally. The Biafran war, fought between Nigeria and Biafra from the years 1967-1970 has been recorded as the most brutal civil war any black Nation has ever witnessed. With the help of the British, innocent young people, mostly women and children numbering close to 6 million lost their lives.

The leadership the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has infused  a new spirit into the struggle for self-determination.This spirit has awoken from its slumber the drive to  exhibit the  fundamental human right under the rule of law to protest the Buhari lead Administration.  This Nigerian government has unleashed terror on the innocent citizens who are seeking a better life and good governance for their children and future generation.

Scores have been killed by the Department of State Security (DSS), including those shot by the combination of both military and police personnel.  Despite Amnesty International being aware of these  heinous crimes, the United Nations lead by Ban Ki-Moon and world leaders have kept quiet.  Nigerian security forces continue to kill Biafrans in secret, attacking street vendors who sell newspapers with anything concerning Biafra.  The Buhari led government has even destroyed Coca-cola customized products and their warehouses that were made especially for Biafra awareness.

Is Nigeria meant to be democratic or an autocracy?

The Nigerian state is presently suffering from governmental incompetence, human rights abuses, and a lack of justice for the ordinary man. Ironically the government’s policies have backfired. Buhari believes the killing of unarmed innocent civilians will subdue the struggle. Yet by attacking and jailing Nnamdi Kanu they have ended up making him the most influential personality of the century.  The struggle for self-determination of the people of Biafra has now become a global one.

The crux of the issue now is convincing those who think the Biafran protests are merely a mirage that they should wake up from and face the new reality that there is no going back.  The message to the world must be clear that the level of insecurity that Nigerian government operates in, is total. We don’t want what happened in 1967-1970 to happen again. Despite the Biafran willingness  to lead a peaceful struggle, how long shall we fold our arms and watch our citizen been killed in cold blood?

“I will lead a 500,000000 Million man march that will crack Nigeria globally!” Those were the words of the brave Biafraian and we are getting close to it. Both local and International media, organizations, world leaders are now getting up to see the injustice that has been meted out to the people of Biafra by the central authorities in Buhari’s so called Nigeria.

Considering where we began, much has been achieved and yet more needs to be done.  There is no going back on Biafran independence. There is a deep lack of credibility in Nigeria concerning the independence of the judiciary system.  This has added to the ordinary citizen lacking any confidence in all aspects of the government’s relationship with the broader society. We have all seen this in the ongoing case of Nnamdi Kanu the Leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra and the Nigerian government.

The Mohammed Buhari lead Administration has taken the whole pf Nigeria for granted and it is very imperative to remind him that he can’t eat his cake and have it also.  It is not going to be like those days when he refused to appear before a tribunal on charges corruption.

We call on all well-meaning lovers of freedom especially the Israeli government to take a stand and look into the issue of Biafra and Nigeria’s Christians in order to help lead them to freedom from the oppression of the Islamic state of Mohammed Buhari.

Bi-polar Islam: At War With the World…and Itself

The most significant undeclared contemporary war of our time is with Islam. The first salvo took place November 4, 1979, the day Iran took US citizens hostage in Tehran and held 52 of them against their will for 444 days.  While 9/11 was the worst single tragedy by far, it wasn’t the beginning. That was a wake-up call, which which has largely been ignored, especially by President Obama.

Some may suggest there is no such war. Others claim it is the West that has declared war on Islam. Neither statement is correct. The fact is Islam has declared war. War on democracy, the West, the US, Israel, Jews, Christians and all “infidels,” which includes other Muslims. We are in perilous times. The very fabric of the free world is under attack. Unless democratic nations, especially the US, acknowledge this and take steps to combat the threat, Islam may eventually engulf everyone and everything.

The most important and powerful leader in the free world is the President of the United States. He should be at the forefront of this battle. Yet President Obama has steadfastly refused to correctly identify what everyone else knows — the United States (and the free world) is in the crosshairs of Islam. Their goal is to see the Islamic flag over the White House.

New normal

If you are one of those who doesn’t think we are in a crisis, consider this- Prior to the ’79 takeover of the US embassy in Iran, how often did you hear these terms: “jihad,” “Islamic fundamentalist,” “martyr,” “Allah,” “alluah Akbar,” or “Sharia law?”

Today they are commonplace and exemplify the new normal the US and the world lives with. In fact it would be an unusual day if we didn’t hear any of these terms.

I recall when it was possible to walk out to the gate at the airport to meet an incoming passenger. How about when there was no such thing as an airport security check? I guess I’m only showing my age….

Not all Muslims

Before going further, an important distinction should be made. Am I suggesting this war is with all Muslims? No. Not all Muslims are fundamentalists. In fact the majority are not. Yet the terror from the minority is affecting almost everyone, whether Muslim or not in one way or another.

Thus an obvious question becomes how many fundamentalists are there?

Estimates vary widely. Some say it’s as low as 3%, others up to as much as 50% or more, depending on your source. Statistics on this are rare and generally without credible references. This is where some simple math is quite telling. Current population statistics indicate there are 1.65 billion Muslims worldwide. (This is not in dispute) For the sake of this article I’ll use a conservative estimate of 10% being fundamentalists. That means 90% are peaceful.

If 10% are fundamentalists, that translates to 165 million. If all of them lived in one country it would rank #8 in the world. These are numbers no one should dismiss or take lightly.

True Muslims

The next question is who are the “true” Muslims, the 90% or the 10%? Sheer numbers tend to suggest the 90%. Yet is this really the case? Let’s drill down a bit deeper.

The non-violent Muslims will tell you Islam is a religion of peace and the fundamentalists have hijacked it. While peaceful Muslims may indeed be sincere in their commitment to non-violence, are they correct by accusing fundamentalists of hijacking Islam? This needs to be addressed soberly.

The fundamentalists who commit violence in Allah’s name consider themselves to be the true Muslims. In fact they will tell you the ones who accuse them of hijacking Islam are not true Muslims.

Yet both peaceful and fundamentalist Muslims look to the Quran as their holy book.

How can two different groups both claiming to be Muslim read the same holy book and see things so differently? Is one group making claims about the Quran that are false?

Before examining this closer keep one thing in mind. There are approximately 40,000 Christian denominations. Wide differences exist among them on numerous topics. Yet would it be fair for a Pentecostal to accuse a Presbyterian of not being a Christian?

There is one holy book for those who believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob: the Bible, albeit different books are used by Christians (New Testament) and Jews (Torah/Prophets/Writings), and some differences exist between Catholic and Protestant versions.  While there is a wide range of interpretations of scripture, a Presbyterian considers himself just as much a Christian as a Pentecostal.

This same principle applies to Muslims.

Due diligence requires examination of the Quran to see if there are verses which substantiate the fundamentalist view of condoning violence.

Violence condoned

There are numerous verses in the Quran which make it clear that violence is not only condoned, it is required against disbelievers. This includes against peaceful Muslims who do not engage in violence as instructed in the Quran. Altogether there are over 160 verses in the Quran which support violence or jihad.

Plus, there is clear disdain for Jews and Christians.

What’s also noteworthy is Mohammed himself supported violence. He was responsible for numerous killings, which included massacring several hundred Jews of the Qurayza tribe in Medina in 627.

Today Muslim religious leaders continue their calls for Jewish blood.

Based on the aforementioned information, the following conclusions can be drawn-

  • There is a wide range of Muslims
  • The Quran sanctions violence
  • Mohammed himself condoned and engaged in violence
  • The Quran indicates disdain for non-Muslims
  • Muslims are both peaceful and violent
  • Fundamentalists are Muslims
  • They have not hijacked Islam

With respect to whether Islam is a peaceful religion, after confirming what the Quran says, it would seem such a characterization is not only naïve, it’s incorrect, possibly dangerous. Further, if a Presbyterian doesn’t have the right to say a Pentecostal is not a Christian, it follows that a peaceful Muslim doesn’t have the right to say a fundamentalist is not a Muslim.

If a “true believer” is one who follows everything in their holy book, and the fundamentalists are adhering to this, how should we view peaceful Muslims? While I believe they are indeed Muslims, can it be the fundamentalists are actually the true Muslims?

What’s the takeaway?

The free world should open its eyes, understand there is a war going on. Ignoring it won’t eliminate it. In fact doing so will allow it to continue unabated. We should stop letting naïveté and political correctness govern our views or our laws. Difficult decisions will need to be made, and soon.  If the status quo continues, the lifestyle free people are accustomed to will soon become a thing of the past.

Years ago there was a commercial by a manufacturer of engine oil filters that suggested not to ignore the importance of changing filters when necessary. The closing words of the commercial were “pay me now… or pay me later.”
