This world is filled with obstacles. Perhaps the toughest obstacles to break through are the obstacles within our minds and hearts. In fact, the external exile and redemption is just a manifestation of our own inner exile and redemption.
Each one of us has a choice. We can either choose to express light or fall into an inner darkness and depression.

The “Deal of the Century”is a game. One group in the Trump administration wants to use this deal to give Israel the power to annex large parts of Judea and Samaria. Another group of the administration believes there is a chance that the deal might just be scary enough for the Palestinian Arabs to come around and so there is still hazy wiggle room in every detail.
The first group of the administration does not believe that the Palestinian Arabs will agree, so the deal is a sleight of hand to push the end game further to our favor. The second group does not see the deal this way and really wants it to be a deal that works.
The problem with both of these approaches is it treats the most holy of lands as a type of real estate deal turned political weapon. The Land of Israel is the land of memory, of G-D consciousness, it cannot be divided.
The Land can be conquered, its people exiled, but divided from within – no.
Ultimately, this is the failure of the Trump plan. It aims to give the Jews a better deal than before, but it is a deal nonetheless.

There can be no deal on the Land of Israel. It is a Land which is the most loved to the Creator. It is a Land where the Divine Presence, the Princess dwells within its earth, waiting to be uncovered.
It cannot be divided. For to divide the Land would render it profane, normal, and natural.
The “Deal of the Century” may be the best deal, but a deal is not what we need. What the people of this Land need is to connect to the true purpose of why we are here. The Kingdom of G-D is beyond borders and agreements. It flows from Jerusalem and extends throughout Israel and beyond to the world.
This is the ultimate vessel for Godliness in the universe. In order to activate it, we must understand that we ourselves are just are merely on a mission here. Our mission, both individually and collectively is to reveal the Divine Light of Creation. For this we need an indivisible Land of Israel.

The exile is insidious. It penetrates us, disconnects us – twisting the world and everything within it. However there is hope. After all, exile is analogous to sleep and although when one wakes up they are groggy and disoriented, they still have awoken. We too yearn to be awake; to see the the world in a clarity unquestioned. Yet, we haven’t achieved this because we have not let go of the blockages within. It is to awaken and find the unity that has always existed within the Creation.

This is the class of the series on Rebbe Nachman’s famous story the Lost Princess.
We are entering a new phase of the breakdown of the State’s structure. Those people who are taking these third elections seriously are not understanding that in a real sense no matter if Bibi has enough to make a coalition or not, the State of Israel has been transformed by the current political chaos.
The Left will never have enough votes to win an election. The Supreme Court should have shut down the Prime Minister’s ability to form a coalition and instead decided to wait until after the election.
Why?
Nothing is simple. The Supreme Court knows the street is against it. To prevent the PM before an election from essentially having the ability to run would have revealed their true intentions and yet by punting the decision to March 2nd and beyond they are hinting that all may not be as it seems.

The Deep State will strike if it needs to. They are losing their grip on the country and as Bibi seems no closer to exiting, their strategy is to make chaos out of the situation. Third, fourth, and even a fifth election is not a problem for them. After all, they built the state and in their mind they can destroy it.
This is the real debate. Bibi and the Revisionist camp of the Likud and even the Religious Zionist parties believe that the crumbling tools of the Deep State/Mapai descedents can be uplifted to be used for the next stage of the Redemptive process. While this is partly true, the State as we understand it to be was built to be a series of structures in order to allow the elitists to rule over those who came to the Land of Israel as well as those already in it.
Bibi’s continued tenure is buying time for the idealists to effect change from within. He is the cover for them and the Deep State knows this.

This upcoming election will decide if the Deep State can further the chaos by preventing another coalition with the Prime Minister at its head or by the court ruling he cannot put together a coalition. They know they cannot win and so their goal is chaos that will lead to the State’s destruction.
However, chaos is not so bad. From chaos comes a new order – a new way of doing things. While the State as we know it maybe “falling apart” in the political sense, a new leadership with new ideas can arise taking the broken pieces of a system designed to service the few and rebuild it in order to create a fusion of Divine principles and physical tools.
Will this happen? Eventually, but the time it takes to unfold primarily depends on our own actions and whether or not we have awakened to a true Redemptive vision.
The Redemption has always been a Jewish event. While it’s true the implications of such event will ripple outward across the world, the Redemption is one where authentic Jewish sovereignty is restored over the entire Land of Israel with the focus being the rebuilding of the Holy Temple on Har HaBayit, the Temple Mount.
The coming election, the third in one year stands as a transformative event for Israel. While there is an assumption of the miraculous concerning the events connected to the Redemption, Jewish eschatological understanding sees history and the unfolding rectification of events surrounding the Jewish return and full redemption within the confines of the physical world. This is because for us the physical world is not some barrier standing between the Creation and the Creator, but rather a means for the Creator to actively converse with the Creation. It is an expression of the Divine will itself.
This is why the events we are witnessing, despite many being political in nature are showing us how the Redemption is unfolding in front of us.
In order for Knesset Yisrael, the cosmic Israel to be properly expressed through its vessel, which is the Nation of Israel here in the physical, tools for this expression must be rectified. Since the beginning of the State, the Erev Rav, better known as the Deep State has effectvely used Israeli bureaucracy to block this rectification process. Despite this, the forces of Redemption have been able to push forward and have now left the Deep State with just two bastions of control – the courts and the media/entertainment industry.

So how is this election connected to the toppling of the Deep State?
The coup attempt against Prime Minister Netanyahu has set up an interesting turn of events for the entire governing structure of the State of Israel.
Three dates stand out for this unprecedented third election.
Tomorrow Netanyahu should win handidly and if he wins by a large margin the assumption is that this will send a message to the Deep State that their attempts to topple the Prime Minister from within have failed.
The Deep State’s next move will most likely be to render the Prime Minister unable to form a coalition according to the law even if he can. This would in theory end Bibi’s political career, but the Prime Minister would certainly push on with increased support on the right, which may make the difference in getting his block over the magic 61 seats needed. After all, if the Supreme Court rules that way it would prove the claims that the Deep State is attempting a coup, because why else would the court step in like that.
This will set up a situation on the night of the election and the day after which is Moshe Rabbeinu’s Yartzheit, a time when the light of Redemption begins to descend that the President will have to decide to either listen to the Supreme Court and pick someone else or ultimately decide to follow the will of the people, thus breaking the hegemony of the Deep State once and for all.

Of course, President Reuven Rivlin has never been known as a revolutionary and so one should expect a complete breakdown in the government.
This leads us to Purim, which is a mere 8 days after the election. Rebbe Nachman famously teaches that “in the past all beginnings are connected to Pesach, but now they are connected to Purim.”
Whether the stalemate continues or not, the Redemption or a major stage in it appears to be finally upon us.
The number 70 is a key number in the Torah and the Tanach. It is spoken about in Daniel as well as Yirmiyahu (Jeremiah) in relation to a span of time concerning the first exile.
“For thus said the LORD: When Babylon’s seventy years are over, I will take note of you, and I will fulfill to you My promise of favor—to bring you back to this place.” –Jeremiah 29-10
While it is clear that the 70 years of Babylonian exile ended with the return of the Jewish people to their ancestral homeland, it is not clear how this fits into our current Redemption.
In tractate Taanit 23a of the Babylonian Talmud, the famous Honi Hamaagal slept 70 years .
“Rabbi Yohanan said: “This righteous man [Honi] was troubled throughout the whole of his life concerning the meaning of the verse, ‘A Song of Ascents: When the Lord brought back those that returned to Zion, we were like dreamers’ (Psalms 126:1). [Honi asked] Is it possible for seventy years to be like a dream? How could anyone sleep for seventy years?”One day Honi was journeying on the road and he saw a man planting a carob tree. He asked, “How long does it take [for this tree] to bear fruit?” The man replied: “Seventy years.” Honi then further asked him: “Are you certain that you will live another seventy years?” The man replied: “I found [already grown] carob trees in the world; as my forefathers planted those for me so I too plant these for my children.”Honi sat down to have a meal and sleep overcame him. As he slept a rocky formation enclosed upon him which hid him from sight and he slept for seventy years. When he awoke he saw a man gathering the fruit of the carob tree and Honi asked him, “Are you the man who planted the tree?” The man replied: “I am his grand-son.” Thereupon Honi exclaimed: “It is clear that I have slept for seventy years.” “
Based on the above the Talmud connects the 70 years of sleep or dreaming to the span of exile.
Yet, when is this 70 years where it will seem that we are in a dream? Honi’s story takes place after the return from Babylon, so it must be referring to a future time. According to deeper sources the 70 years will be at the End of Days, but how do we calculate this span of time?

One possibility is to take the date of the armistice agreement with Jordan, which most recognize as the concretization of the State of Israel. This date on the Hebrew calendar is the 4th of Nissan 5709.
70 years from that date would be 4th of of Nissan 5779. This is the very date that the first election in this now three election cycle occurred. It is essentially the last time anything about the State we have come to “depend on” went according to plan. From that date onward no new government has been formed. It is now very obvious that the 70 years between the armistice and the election in April (Nissan) of the past year marks the 70 years spoken about at the End of Time. It is this span of time that “will seem like a dream.”
Like all dreams, one must eventually wake up to the truth. Yet, like all dreams one never wakes up easily. This is the chaos we are in. It is chaos that will lead to new order as we wake up from the dream of the last 70 years.
Interestingly, the Prime Minister’s life has spanned this very time period and in many ways his triumph in politics and success at guiding Israel out of the darkness of its rebirth into a focal point once again of world history is coming to an end within the chaos that has ensued after the 70 year mark. It is neither tragic nor preventable as we have reached a point where the Creator is ready to push us however unwilling we are to the next stage of the Redemption.
When the Lord brought back those that returned to Zion, we were like dreamers’
We may not know what it is like to live outside of our dream. After all we have lived in a perpetual nightmare for nearly 2,000 years until the Armistice agreement of 1949 and then our nightmare became a dream. We have held onto this dream, not ready to waken and we may not be ready, but it appears the Creator has other plans.
This year has been chaotic and in many ways as the dream dissipates the chaos will grow. However, like all chaos this one too will lead to a new order. Only then will we be ready.
